Fine Arts from Sejm’s facade (wood)

It is a wooden rectangular relief consisting of three separate elements. The whole presents a composition of 4 figures representing fine arts: sculpture, music, composer and painter with assigned objects.

Jan Szczepkowski shared the creation process of the sandstone reliefs with Jan Biernacki. The sculptures formed the frieze of the Sejm's (Parliament) session hall from the outside. There were 16 in total, of which 14 were triple figural symbolic compositions. Among them, on the side of Wiejska Street, there is a tripartite composition of Fine Arts. The processing with cuts and diagonals is to resemble wood carving work.

The total dimensions of the relief are: 106 cm in height, 142 cm in width and 11 cm in depth.
