Jan Szczepkowski died on 17 February 1964 in Milanówek. The sculptor Stanisław Lipski took the print from the artist's face, omitting his ears and part of the neck. The mould is made of painted bronze. It is 28 cm tall, 23 cm wide and 14 cm deep.
