Jan Szczepkowski died on 17 February 1964 in Milanówek. The sculptor Stanisław Lipski took the print from the artist's right hand, most likely resting on the left one. 

The mould is made of painted bronze. It is 14 cm tall, 23 cm wide and 9 cm deep.
